I build and clean up CRM systems, mostly in HubSpot. My family runs a hardware and paint business in Lucknow India, and the first system I built for them replaced a customer follow-up process that ran entirely on memory, I added purchase-frequency segmentation and automated reminders, and revenue went up in over ten months. That result is what convinced me this was worth specializing in.
From there I moved into HubSpot specifically, setting up lead-scoring and follow-up automation for a paints and chemicals company, which pushed qualified leads up 12%. In Cologne, I got the chance to do similar work for a consulting client, landing pages, email workflows, campaign tracking. Alongside that, my Master thesis (International Management, Hochschule Fresenius) focused on CRM data architecture, which is the structural theory behind the same problem I'd been solving hands-on the whole time.
Where I'm most useful: HubSpot portals that grew without a plan. Usually that means duplicate contact records skewing your reporting, workflows that fire in the wrong order or contradict each other, and property fields nobody can explain anymore because three different people set them up for three different reasons. Untangling that isn't just deleting duplicates, it's figuring out which process the mess was actually trying to support, then rebuilding the data model so it holds up as the business grows.
I'm new to freelancing specifically, so I won't pretend I've run dozens of these projects. The HubSpot experience itself is real, and I'd rather start with a smaller audit or cleanup and do it properly than take on more than I can back up.
