I started as a senior Data Engineer and became lead engineer and team lead of the data engineering team when the previous lead left the company. I took the role because it was needed and there was no better option at the time but filled it with enthusiasm and grew into it.

Lead Engineer Responsibilities

• Main contact for Management and customers for longer term projects, planning and reporting

• Sparring partner and point of contact for collaboration with other teams (BI, Infra)

• Develop Proof of concepts

• Safeguard code style, conventions and code quality processes

Member of team within Schuberg Philis which worked on a smart manufacturing program for Heineken. My work included

• Writing and maintaining ETL processes in Python running as AWS lambda processes

• Implementing, maintaining and further developing the functionality of the in-house built Python packages for ETL processes, data lineage and operator inputs

• Design and Implementation of the Heineken Data Standard as Database model

• Migration of our previous reference MySQL database to a new structure conform to the Heineken Data Standard

• Design and implementation of data lineage

• Unit and integration tests of in-house built Python modules

• On-call duty for all mission critical processes of the data pipeline and in-house built IOT kit
