Seisho embodies all the very best qualities of a Design Director. He leads teams with confidence, humility and vision, creating a comfortable and supportive environment. This encourages all team members to share their ideas, knowing they’ll be heard and considered. In this collaborative environment, everybody gets the inspiration they need to learn and grow under the mentorship of a true design professional. It also means the project benefits from a rich tapestry of perspectives. And on a personal level, Seisho is the easiest guy to work with and shows a genuine care for his team members.

I worked with Seisho on a challenging design project where he was the design director. One of the main challenges was to move from a technology driven to a user centric approach. Coming from design thinking, he and his team researched user’s needs in order to unveil the business value and ideated a new user centric user experience. In a following step he orchestrated his team of UX, interaction and visual designers to come up with a winning mobile application design concept for a digital health solution. It was a complex undertaking and many stumbling stones had to be overcome. The outcome has visionary quality. I experienced Seisho as a highly professional person enriching the team by his cultural background and as a sportsman who is relentlessly working to exceed expectations. I am looking forward to a next project together with him.

Seisho was not only a great friend and manager, but also great mentor to me @ frogdesign. Seisho’s humbleness and his ability to make team members feel great to bring the best out of them is truly outstanding.

A design director who is able to be super hands on but also able to step back and empowering others is what young designers need in order to grow. His incredible sense for small details will often surprise you but in the end make you become a better designer.

Seisho is one of the few people that I met in my professional life that truly believes in and understands human centered design. He approaches each project with an open mindset, the urge for experimentation and the end-user in mind. He doesn’t design only for people, but also technical feasibility and business viability in mind.

Working with Seisho is rewarding and in the best sense of the word "relieving". He tackles projects highly structured and autonomously, uses the time given alone as well as with team members efficiently and by doing so does not only reduce workload, but becomes a driving force for projects in no time. Seishos contributions are well thought-out improvements and his high-quality designs enhance products - nevertheless, he keeps organizational contexts of a project in mind and adjusts concepts to timelines and budgets while keeping the best possible optimization.
