Leading a team of 5 Android engineers building and maintaining the cloud app ecosystem for GMX.de, WEB.DE, 1&1, and Mail.com platforms serving millions of active users across Europe. I stay fully hands-on while driving technical direction, architecture, and long-term platform stability.

Here.fm is a New York based startup that offers a platform allowing users to create their own space where they can have real-time video calls with their friends, watch movies together, share videos, images, memes, and even do homework. Here I took ownership of the real-time communication as well as all media-related features on Android.

• ● Implemented Audio/Video real-time communication via WebRTC as well as a custom SFU implementation

• ● Modified and extended the WebRTC library to add support for screen-share audio as well as support for more codecs

• ● Made use of OpenGL ES to add support for video effects, such as background removal, camera filters as well as Snap Lenses

• ● Implemented a custom network state analyzer, to measure and notify users about their connection quality.

• ● Implemented media playback capabilities that allow multiple users to watch videos simultaneously

• ● Implemented a video editor to allow video trimming and transcoding before upload

• ● Automated the building and deployment of the custom WebRTC implementation using Github Actions

Contributed to Pandora, DeliveryHero's largest platform that is used across multiple countries as the main food and grocery delivery app.

• ● Revamped refer-a-friend feature within Pandora's Acquisition squad, enhancing user acquisition strategies by designing architecture and executing overhaul.

• ● Conducted technical and cultural interviews as part of the hiring process.

• ● Transitioned to Special Orders squad, focused on developing contemporary solutions for complex Group Order, PreOrder, and PickUp features.

• ● Actively worked on increasing Unit and Instrumentation test coverage, optimizing app startup speed, and reducing installer size.
