I’m Joe, a senior full-stack engineer based in Amsterdam with 6 years of experience building production web applications, including 4 years at Booking.com where I shipped features used by millions of travellers and won 1st place in the company’s internal hackathon.

I now work independently with startups and product teams who need to ship fast without sacrificing quality.

What I do best:

• AI feature integration — adding LLM-powered features like chat, search, automation, and content generation to existing SaaS products. I handle prompt engineering, API integration, UI, and deployment end-to-end.

• MVPs from scratch — Next.js, TypeScript, and Supabase, from idea to production in 2 to 6 weeks. Recent builds include RailGPT (conversational AI for Dutch trains), Queryhub.ai (natural language to SQL), and Weeknights (a social discovery platform for Amsterdam).

• Clean, maintainable frontends — React and Next.js applications with type safety, tests, and documentation as standard. I care about the small details that make software feel calm to use.
