Juni 2017 - Heute (7 Jahre und 9 Monate)
Stuttgart, BW, Germany
Bettina Meister, freelance photographer and journalist, was born in 1969 in Gräfelfing near Munich and lives in Stuttgart. She started out in 1988 with her grandfather's SLR camera. In 2012, she began working professionally as a second shooter in concert photography and portrait photography before becoming a freelance photographer.
Working not only with her camera but also with her heart, she shows in particular those people who might be overlooked, presenting the world from a perspective full of appreciation and respect. Corporate Photography, reportage/documentary photography and portrait photography are her specialities in photography. She is fast in realizing what is important for storytelling and makes photos on location/in companies disturbing the work processes as little as possible or not at all. And she has a lot of empathy to the people.
As she was marketing manager in international, market-leading companies, she knows what kind of image material companies need and can develop suitable image concepts for each client. Parallel to her work as a photographer, she runs her own PR and advertising agency, so she also can give advices (if needed) for pr or publishing material.
Her extraordinary work as a photographer has already attracted international attention. She is one of the 50 per cent of the world's best photographers in the World Press Photo Contest 2023 and 2024. She was a finalist in the Schömberger Fotoherbst 2023, the international competition for reportage and travel series. Bettina Meister's work has been published in international magazines and she has already had several solo exhibitions as well as various group exhibitions in Germany and France.
As photographer she has been a member of the BFF (Professional Association of Photographers and Film Designers) and the CAI (Content Authenticity Initiative) since 2023.
