I am a multilingual Scottish translator based in the heart of Europe, who meets the English-language communication needs of legal professionals and corporate clients in the Czech Republic, Italy and elsewhere as they grow their business and look to establish strong, long-lasting relationships with overseas clients and investors.

Working hand-in-hand with companies across Europe and North America, I’ve learned to understand the strains that poor communication can place on business relationships and the benefits that clear, natural and culturally aware messaging can have on relationship-building and trust across borders.

Always translating into my mother tongue of English, my focus is on taking the mystique out of legal and financial texts in Czech, Italian, Spanish and Slovak, which are often packaged in a complex and bureaucratic language that many English-speaking professionals find impenetrable.

By adding this layer of clarity, I serve as a mediator not only between languages but also between different written cultures, legal contexts and economic environments.

My credentials:

➣ Experience: +10 years translating for local and multinational companies operating in sectors as diverse as insurance, engineering and telecommunications. Since 2016, I have been providing specialist English-language translation and language consultancy services to some of Prague’s leading law firms.

➣ Fields of expertise: A range of legal and financial matters including M&A, economic competition, privacy, financial crime, insurance, securities and corporate finance. Typical texts include contracts, annual reports, insurance policies and court documents. My working jurisdictions are Italy, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain, Mexico, the United Kingdom and Ireland.
