At Enmacc, I split my time between hands-on development inside a Scrum team and staff-level responsibilities that span the wider engineering organization. I lead the backend collective, running regular sessions to refine architecture, prioritize technical debt, and raise the overall bar for backend quality. Working closely with the engineering manager, I help shape upcoming epics and contribute to longer term technical direction, while also taking on operational duties such as Release Manager and Triage Lead to keep deployments smooth and production reliable.

On the delivery side, I lead cross-team technical projects from initial design through implementation, including test strategies and rollout plans, with a consistent focus on scalability and maintainability. Alongside the core Java and TypeScript stack, I rely on Python for data analysis tooling, automation scripts, and quick prototyping whenever it helps move a problem forward.

I also make daily, pragmatic use of AI coding assistants for architectural exploration, implementation work, and debugging across our distributed services, treating them as a force multiplier while keeping engineering judgment and code review firmly in the loop.

As the leader of a backend team focused on API Gateway integration, I played a pivotal role in our platform, which served as the centerpiece of our business. I took charge of roadmap definitions, made key architectural decisions, and ensured the timely delivery of features with uncompromising quality. Additionally, I embraced SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles our Our application supported multi-tenancy at the software level, with microservices running in a Kubernetes cluster hosted on Azure. Our pipelines were a combination of Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD, enabling seamless deployment and release management. Within the backend stack, we leveraged Java 17, Kafka, gRPC, Python, and Postgres. I developed Python services for internal tooling, monitoring integrations, and scripting automated deployment workflows. Notably, we implemented Kong as our own API Gateway, with support for Azure APIM client integrations. This comprehensive stack allowed us to deliver scalable and secure solutions, empowering our clients with seamless API management.

Through effective leadership, strategic decision-making, and the utilization of cutting-edge technologies, our team successfully delivered a robust and high performing API Gateway integration, enabling our platform to drive business growth and exceed customer expectations.

In my role, I was responsible for the development and architectural decision-making of new features, as well as the analysis and architectural improvement of existing backend applications. I utilized technologies such as Java8, Hibernate, Liquibase, Python, mySQL, Docker, and AWS to ensure robust and scalable solutions.

I contributed Python-based tooling for data processing pipelines and internal automation scripts, complementing the core Java services. Through my expertise in these technologies and my commitment to architectural excellence, I successfully contributed to the growth and improvement of backend applications, enabling efficient development processes and enhancing overall system performance and reliability.
