• Manage all controlling functions including cost accounting, controlling and revenue Recognition.

• Lead, coordinate and direct the preparation of the annual Budget, Forecast and review changes through variance analysis.

• Preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial results and investor reporting.

• Responsible for Project controlling and analysis with project managers.

• Maintain and improve cost performance with monthly cost review with Heads of departments.

• Develop and document business processes and controlling policies.

• Create and update Group Accounting policies (Accounting controls, impairment, loan loss provision, inter-company, guidelines on capitalization of intangible assets under IAS 38, etc.).

• Follow up recommendations for Accounting controls (coordinate with IA and EA, visit subsidiaries).

• Prepare and support the annual closing and audit process, and support the consolidation process.

• Review and analysis of financial reporting and financial statements of subsidiaries.

• Coordination with external auditors (Group and component auditors).

• Consulting (finance and accounting) for network banks/subsidiaries: tax compliance, accounting, refinancing activities, treasury and risk management, budgeting and business planning, organizational development of accounting departments, documentation and standardization of control processes and year-end audited financial statements. Additional due diligence participations.

• Training of local finance staff and branch managers (Finance basics on IFRS and accounting).

• Lead the IFRS 9 implementation (financial impact IAS 39 vs. IFRS 9, calculation of lifetime PDs, update of Group policies, determination of provision levels, etc.).

• Support the implementation of the ERP Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Fixed Assets, Financial Accounting).

• Regular missions (Accounting controls, Treasury controls, other Finance topics) in the network banks/subsidiaries: AccèsBanque Madagascar, AB Microfinance Bank Nigeria, CREDO Bank Georgia.

Purpose of the mission: Implement innovative audit plus social and financial performance solutions (SPI4 from Cerise, approaching the client protection principles of the Smart Campaign, etc.) used to increase the efficiency and capacity of the organization to reach the needs of small farmers by providing financial solutions through the organizations and MFIs that are the partners of FOGAL. Also provide recommendations to FOGAL and help reach more beneficiaries and other sources of funding.
