I’m Julia Schröder, a Hamburg-based fashion designer with more than 20 years of experience in the fashion industry.

Whether you're launching a new label or evolving an existing collection – I support you from first concept to final production.

I bring creative energy, a strong sense of trends and aesthetics, and a deep understanding of market needs, target audiences, and brand identity. My strength lies in creative direction, creating collections, accessories, color and print concepts that are both visually striking and strategically thought out.

Working as a freelance designer gives me the opportunity to support you with my experience and knowledge of more than 20 years in the fashion business. My work focuses on the development of color moods, color concepts and print concepts, print development and the ambition to create modern, contemporary benchmarking designs . My expertise and experiences are:
- trend research, forecast and analysis
- creating color concepts throughout the season with well researched trend and market knowledge
- developing a coherent print and graphic concept ( AOPs, jacquard's and placed prints) for the complete and harmonious expression of the collections for all product groups including coloration of colorways and development of placed prints
- developing and processing collections in styles and prints from initial research through to final production
- technical drawings, specs and tech packs
- leading the production process from color approval through fittings and supplier communication
- creating and presenting mood boards with a clear statement for design, sales, product management and marketing.
