    Telefonica was the largest mobile operator in Germany, and the NEXT organisation responsible for monetising its data and analytics in the Mobility, Media, Retail, and other industries. I led a team of experts working with product management, marketing, campaign execution (using Agile methodologies), and data analytics. Our customers were brands and media agencies who bought our mobile advertising solutions based on our data for targeting and analytics capabilities. I led the launch of premium-branded Services such as: o2 More Local, a Location-Based Marketing solution that reached 4 million subscribers. And o2 Get, an App and Service developed with start-up People.io that rewarded users for their personal data and put them in control of it. These projects involve solution design, extensive legal and data protection engineering, integration of external vendors and internal departments, and full launches in both B2C and B2B environments. Significant time was spent evaluating and mentoring start-ups as part of the Wayra corporate innovation and venturing function.

    Intermap Technologies were a leader in precision airborne mapping, and their automotive product '3D Roads', was a highly accurate 3-dimensional road map supporting multiple Energy Management and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Applications. The role engaged with the automotive industry to generate interest and trials for this new type of product/data, and generate market pull from car manufacturers and their suppliers. At the invitation of BMW, was sole author of the 'Map Data for ADAS' chapter in the reference 'Springer Handbook of Intelligent Vehicles'. Generally brought significant experience, optimism and structure to Intermap automotive activities.
