Tom Haas

Started as the first product manager hire after the head of product, with ~30 total employees and helped scale the product & company to more than 130 employees & 5 product squads.

During my time I was responsible for various parts of the product, starting in the core job search experience & job notifications, later focusing on the application experience and lastly building & scaling an entirely new active sourcing tool for recruiters.

Main achievements:

• Launched a new product for active sourcing & further iterated to achieve a 5x improvement in KPI response rate after the successful launch — this now contributes ~10% to the total company revenue

• Introduced & optimised an application funnel, boosting application success rates by more than 30% while at the same time improving the quality of the application by collecting more detailed information from each applicant

• Built a job collections product which contributes ~15% of all applications of the platform

• Improved the job alert notification click rates by more than 20% (WhatsApp & E-Mail)

As my first founding project, I developed a SaaS solution to help companies better manage their hybrid workforce with 3 co-founders.

In my role I primarily focused on designing & improving the first iterations of the product in Figma and organising the rest of the founding team's effort to be successful. I spent a lot of time doing usability tests and getting direct customer feedback while trying to sell the solution.

We participated in the Digital Hub Accelerator Program in Bonn and were offered seed financing but ultimately had to decline because of difficulties in the team, which lead to the end of this founding project.

I participated in the founding process of the company including writing the first business plan and developing the first pitch decks. Furthermore, I supported the founding team in the product definition and development as well as contributed to the first steps in online and social media marketing.
