Leading all data teams (100 FTE all over Europe), data efforts and data strategy for FREE NOW. Evolved data teams in line with business needs, from a central department into decentralised data pods serving business functions connected by core data teams (Engineering and Centre of Excellence), a data mesh approach and craft leadership guilds. Leading the company towards a sustainable and data-driven vision to become a profitable venture. Notable projects include the merging of the business and data / tech stack of FREE NOW, clever taxi and kapten (while at the same time implementing a lot of Data Governance efforts) as well as addition of a wide variety of mobility solutions (eScooters, eBikes, eMopeds and Carsharing), thereby extending the reach of the FREE NOW app to almost all countries of Europe as well as active participation and shaping of Data Sharing efforts between state authorities and businesses on national and European level (for example being an essential partner in the german mobility data space / MDS). Culminating in making myself redundant and handing over team and responsibilities to my direct reports

Leading the data departments and data strategy for FREE NOW Europe verticals (i.e. FREE NOW, kapten, HIVE, Clever Taxi). Merging and integrating the teams, resulting in an europe-wide data department of 100 FTE. Notable projects include the launch of PHV (private hire vehicle, known to customers as RIDE) for FREE NOW, evolving it with demand-supply imbalance features (i.e. surge pricing) as well as the merging of the business and data / tech stack of FREE NOW, clever taxi and kapten, thereby extending the reach of the FREE NOW app to almost all countries of Europe.
