I started developing when I was 13 years old, my father had an injury and his kinesiologist asked him if he knew someone to make a portfolio and a website and he said: "my son is good with computers, maybe he could help".
When I finished that ugly Wordpress website (and because those coincidences of life), he was the kinesiologist of the soccer player Arturo Vidal, and Arturo was looking a Software Developer for a new business that he started here in Chile.
I learned everything along the way, setting up all the servers, mails, developing some websites and a web application to track all the kinesiologist appointments.
For some years I said yes to every work that I could learn something.
When I finish school I didn't know what to do with my life and what to study, so with a friend I started scraping almost all the university websites, my friend designed some mockups and we develop a simple mobile application that put all that information together and show, allowed to compare university, careers, possible jobs, etc.
We applied to an incubation in Imagine Lab (a business incubator of Microsoft), and miraculously we got accepted.
That simple idea escalated quickly and a year later we became "The Tinder and Google of the Universities". A couple of years later from the first line of code written, each member of the team (6 software developers in that time) received an offer to work in one of the biggest communication companies in Chile.
I rejected that offer and started working remotely writing code for different companies and clients.
Currently I'm working as a Software Engineer developing Data Visualization tools on PayPal projects (as Contractor through a company that does Staff Augmentation).
